Zoe and Dan join the ranks of other Zoes and Dans...

In our case, we're talking about Zoe Merrill Moskovitz and Daniel Lowell Huish. It happened; I was there; I took pictures to prove it.

And now, God Bless the Interweb:

As it turns out, it was hardly a coincidence that Zoe and Dan found one another, fell in love, and got married--Zoes and Dans do it all the time. For starters, there's this moment of Canadian popular culture that I seem to have avoided entirely hither-to-now:

You didn't watch the whole video, did you? Me neither. If you'd like to watch/hear the French dubbed version, here you go: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nEuAOw_YIPw.

Just a week ago, on 25 July 2009, Dan Giraudo and Zoe Pascoe got married. They were registered at Williams-Sonoma if you're interested.

Next, there's this happy couple:
Their website says that this Zoe & Dan got married in September 2008.

Two years prior, a different Zoe and a different Dan set out on a seven-month journey from New Zealand to China, visiting a dozen countries along the way.

We don't have the full story on these two, but the guests' comments on their travel-blog
(http://www.travelblog.org/Bloggers/Zoe-and-Dan/) suggest that they got engaged either before or during the trip. Cheers!

Now we've got to dig a little deeper... all the way down to the 20th century, or second millenium, if you prefer. Dan & Zoe, pictured below, were wed 25 September 1999. Judging by the photos (http://www.tibet.org/zdw/) it was a lovely ceremony.

Here are few other noteables:
  1. Keisha Discovers Harlem, by Zoe Lewis, illustrated by Dan Burr.
  2. A weird-looking but apparently worth photographing person named Zoe Dan.
  3. A different person named Zoe Dan; you can follow on Twitter. If you want.
  4. A set of photos of another Zoe and Dan duo. Not likely to be married, but still cute.
  5. Some kind of pub trivia thing: Dan vs. Zoe. Don't ask, 'cause I don't know.
  6. Another Dan and Zoe. These kids aren't married yet but based on some of the evidence presented here it may be inevitable.

Special transportation request from Zoe and Dan

Hello friends and family!

Response cards are really rolling in and we are very happy that we will get to see everyone!
Since we are celebrating at our home we ask that guests either take a taxi or some other form of transportation (bike, walk, bus) to our home. We want to:
  1. Not freak out the neighbors ,
  2. Provide accessible parking for guests with mobility issues, and
  3. Make sure our loved ones are safe and not drinking and driving.
Those who must drive are requested to disperse themselves throughout the neighborhood!

Lots of love, Zoe and Dan

Engagement/Birthday weekend in SF

We went to SF for Dan's Birthday and had a grand time. We also got engaged! The dark picture is part of my head (I think) and Dan on the pier before dinner and the popping of the question. We had a great dinner even though there was no tower of seafood.

This is us at the Raider's game on Sunday. It was really fun. They lost. No surprise.

These are our very fancy engagement rings. We went to the SF Craft Museum where there was an exhibit about jewelry made from recycled junk. There was a craft table. I made Dan a Monopoly house and fruit tree (so domestic). He made me a hotdog (yum)!
